The neurologist told us I was OK.

Watch for underlying anxieties... and apply a tincture of time.

Winter Solstice in Eureka, NV

At 9:11 AM PST the Northern Hemisphere was tilted as far from the sun as it would be all year.  This is the shortest day of the year here.  I celebrated with a big fire in the wood stove, reading A Christmas Carol, feeding the birds a bit extra, and taking some pictures of our home and yard.  

We also had a Skype call from our grandkids... fun!

I wish everyone a Merry Yuletide... with Christmas only a few days away.

A Leaf Cloud, a Leaf Shower.

Wednesday afternoon and whirlwind vacuumed up a pile of yellow poplar leaves and sent them hundreds of feet into the air.  The blue sky shimmered with the gold and silver of these leaves.  They gently fluttered down over us in a leaf shower...  amazing!
